Microneedling treatments are now available at our salon in Battersea where we extend a warm welcome to clients in Clapham, Wandsworth and the surrounding South West London area. This is a cosmetic procedure that uses fine needles to reduce acne scars, lines, stretch marks or wrinkles. Microneedling is minimally invasive and highly tolerable.
It causes minimal pain, and it can be used alongside a numbing cream so that only a warm itching or light prickling sensation is felt.
Our salon uses thin needles to make tiny yet strategic holes in your skin, causing light damage to stimulate healing. This is achieved by the production of collagen and elastin, two important proteins that keep the skin firm and its texture smooth. Microneedling is mainly a facial treatment but is also suitable for the legs, back and neck.
Multiple treatments are needed to achieve the best results.
Pop into our salon personally to make a booking, or contact us today by telephone. We very much look forward to assisting you.

Each of these treatments will improve the look, feel or texture of a client’s skin. Microdermabrasion uses a device with a rough edge, in a similar surface to sandpaper, which exfoliates the skin’s upper layers. Because microneedling uses fine needles, the treatment works at a deeper level and it tackles issues beneath the skin’s surface.
Microneedling can be used to address the following:
Our salon in Battersea can also use microneedling to support clients from Clapham, Wandsworth and the surrounding areas who suffer from a range of medical conditions, like alopecia areata or hyperhidrosis.
You will need a consultation with lash+browlab prior to treatment so we can examine your skin, review your medical records and talk about what you wish to gain from microneedling. A consultation also gives the client an opportunity to ask us questions about this procedure.
Prior to starting a course of microneedling treatments, you may need to take Vitamin A or Vitamin C supplements in a cream form.
When you visit our salon for microneedling treatments, numbing cream is applied and this starts working after 30 to 45 minutes. We then use a device with very small needles, rolling it across the skin so it makes tiny punctures as it pulses. The deeper an issue lies, the longer the needle penetrates. The needles range from 0.5mm to 2mm.
You should only feel a warm, scratching sensation, one that is very tolerable. Some light discomfort can be expected in areas close to bones, and deeper microneedling may cause small amounts of bleeding.
The length of a treatment varies based on the size of the area being worked on, and lasts for between 15 minutes up to a few hours.
Following a microneedling treatment, you can go home immediately. A treated area may look red and swollen for a few days. We recommend using ice packs to minimise irritation. Many clients find that they can apply make-up within 24 hours of a visit to our salon, but it is strongly advised that you avoid sunlight until the skin has healed.
Because lash+browlab has a forward-thinking approach to skincare, it is possible for clients in Battersea, Clapham, Wandsworth and South West London to have microneedling undertaken in a welcoming salon at times to suit their own schedules. Most clients will need to space out their appointments over several months to attain good results.
Bleeding and swelling should reduce within 24 hours but we advise a visit to your healthcare provider if issues extend beyond this time.
